Samsung Philippines launches a new entry-level offering in the country.
MANILA, Philippines — Samsung Philippines has announced the brand's latest entry-level handset in the country, the Galaxy A06 5G, in a press release sent to androidist on Thursday, April 3, 2025. A new addition to the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A06 5G is said to combine an "awesome" 5G experience with powerful performance and a sleek design, "empowering users to always stay connected for both work and play."
New smartphone from Samsung
The Galaxy A06 5G features a 6.7-inch display. It has an HD+ resolution, comprised of 720 x 1600 pixels, has support for a 90Hz refresh rate, and is IP54 certified for water and dust resistance. It has a waterdrop notch design with an 8MP selfie camera and a dual-camera setup at the back, consisting of 50MP and 2MP sensors.
4 years of Android upgrades
The entry-level smartphone is powered by a Dimensity 6300 processor by MediaTek, with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery that charges up to 25W and runs on One UI 7 with four (4) years of major OS upgrades and security patches.
"[...], the Galaxy A06 5G will receive four generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with four years of security updates. This ensures that users will enjoy an up-to-date and more secure mobile experience, possibly for longer," the press release read.
