Renowned tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted a screenshot on X of what seemed to be an email from Nothing founder Carl Pei suggesting that a flagship Nothing phone is in the works and that it will see the light this year (via GSMArena). Although private, the screenshot was shared on Monday, January 13, 2025, on the social media platform which allegedly reveals the company's vision for the year as it welcomes 2025.
The screenshot, dated January 2, says that this year will 'mark the launch of our flagship Nothing Phone (3)' and that 'it will introduce breakthrough innovations in user interface, taking our first step toward our AI-powered platform,' which implies that AI is most-likely highlighted in this upcoming iteration of the Nothing phone.
Moreover, the following lines read: 'We're aiming at redefining the user experience of personal computing devices - creating technology that knows you, makes your life easier, and is present where you are. Technology that enables us to achieve our greatest creative potential.'
Meanwhile, before the big reveal, the alleged email said that Nothing strengthened its product capabilities by 'almost 50%' which included expanding the company's software and camera departments 'for even better products and greater innovation'
Please take note that, even though Evan Blass has a proven track record for leaks, it's best to assume that these information are not confirmed as there are no official sources that say so. With that in mind, take these with a grain of salt as none of these are confirmed as of writing.
