Chinese tech firm OPPO has recently brought the company's latest military-grade rated smartphone in the Philippines — the OPPO A3. It is currently the "strongest and fastest A Series device" in the country according to the brand.

The OPPO A3 boasts US Military-Grade Shock Resistance and a 5-star SGS certification for overall drop resistance. OPPO says the new phone will work "without any functional damages from falls from a height of 1.6 meters and from 1.2 meters for up to 20 times." Further, it has Multiple Liquid Resistance and the brand's Splash Touch technology which can withstand liquid spills and accidents.

Weighing 168g with 7.68mm thickness, the OPPO A3 sports a 6.67-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate in HD+ resolution. It has a touch-sampling rate of up to 180Hz with a twice-reinforced glass material. It has a 50MP main camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front.

Underneath is a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset backed by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has a 5,100mAh battery inside that charges the device in half in 30 minutes thanks to the 45W fast-charging tech. Moreover, the OPPO A3 comes with BeaconLink, OPPO's communication technology that enables the phone to make voice calls via Bluetooth "with a distance of about 80 meters in open areas" without signal or Wi-Fi connection or 10 meters in crowded places.

The OPPO A3 comes in Starry Purple and Sparkle Black colors and retails for PHP 8,999 (~roughly US $160) for the 6GB + 128GB configuration. The new phone is now available on OPPO stores nationwide, including e-commerce platforms on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. It is also available on Home Credit for PHP 1,079 or via credit cards in select dealers at 0% interest for six months.
