Samsung Galaxy A23 5G announced
South Korean phone maker Samsung has introduced yet another member of the A family — the Galaxy A23 5G. It’s a mid-range smartphone featuring a 50MP quad-cam setup, and 5G connectivity at an aggressive price tag.
A new smartphone from Samsung.
For starters, the Galaxy A23 packs an enormous 6.6-inch Full HD+ display in an IPS LCD panel. It comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and an 8MP selfie shooter housed in a waterdrop notch, which the brand calls the “Infinity-V” display. Around the back is a 50MP quad-camera setup alongside 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth units.
Inside is an unspecified chipset, but reports indicate that the new Samsung phone will come with a Snapdragon 695 processor. It will have up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. It will also have a dedicated microSD slot expandable up to 1TB and runs on Android 12-based One UI 4.1.
Furthermore, the Galaxy A23 comes with a not-so-bad 5,000mAh battery charging at 25W and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
There are no official details yet regarding the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G but it has been speculated to be priced similarly to the last year’s Galaxy A22 5G, according to GIZGUIDE. For those unaware, the A22 5G arrived in the Philippines with a suggested retail price of PHP 13,990 (~roughly US $251).
