Battlefield Mobile arrives on Android devices
Battlefield Mobile earlier today was spotted as a listing on Google Play Store, making users eligble to pre-register.
If you don’t know, a standalone mobile version of EA’s popular Battlefield games was actually hinted back in April, it is rumored to release sometime in 2022. However, the publisher silently shared new details regarding the upcoming title.
To summarize, EA aims to start the beta-testing phase of its Battlefield Mobile this fall with “a series of playtests”, making players in the Philippines and Indonesia the first ones to play the game in a soft release.
During the beta test, the mobile version will only feature a single map called Grand Bazaar and the franchise’s signature Conquest game mode. More details will be revealed closer to Battlefield Mobile’s 2022 release date, as promised by EA itself. In the mean time, EA confirms the game will be free-to-play. It will “only” include cosmetic in-game items in which you can unlock through seasonal battle passes.
As the name suggests, Battlefield Mobile will not be supporting a cross-play functionality between any PC or console versions of the Battlefield franchise since it is “being built specially for mobile.”
Battlefield Mobile is now open for pre-registrations in Indonesia and the Philippines on the Google Play Store.
