As Realme has promised, here comes the Snapdragon 888-powered flagship. (and, it’s not pricey)
The company’s first flagship in 2021 is now here!
The Realme GT 5G just launched in China and it is the company’s newest crown jewel to date. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest flagship-tier Snapdragon 888 SoC. It offers up to 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, up to 12GB RAM, 64MP triple-cam setup, and a 4500mAh battery with 65W for fast charging.
The device comes with spectacular hardware, revolutionary performance, and other flagship-esque features. The Realme GT 5G is equipped with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display in Full HD resolution, with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
Looking under the hood, it boasts a Snapdragon 888 processor, accompanied with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM alongside 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Realme GT 5G runs on realme UI 2 with Android 11 on top, with HyperBoost 4.0 for optimistic gaming performance.
Unfortunately, there’s no MicroSD slot available, but you get a 3.5mm headphone jack which is pretty uncommon to be seen in flagships nowadays.
At the back, the Realme GT 5G sports a triple-camera setup, 64MP Sony IMX682 as for the primary camera, an ultrawide 8MP camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. As for the front, the punch-hole is equipped with a 16MP shooter for selfies, and it sits in the upper-left corner of the screen.
The Realme GT 5G carries a 4500mAh battery with 65W for fast charging, and, it does not have support for wireless charging. Other features include a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for enhanced connectivity, Dolby Atmos-tuned dual stereo speakers for immersive Hi-Res audio, and GT mode for gaming.
The Realme GT 5G comes in three colors: Deep Sea Blue, Galactic Silver, and Dawn Yellow (vegan leather finish). It also comes in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM model, and a 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM model, which costs an astonishing price range, starting from CNY 2,799 (roughly $430) to CNY 3,299 (roughly $510). Pre-orders are now up in China and will go on sale on March 10th.
There’s no word yet coming from the company on when will it go outside China, stay tuned for updates!
