Motorola just launched their latest flagship in China, the Edge S with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 870 processor.

The all-new Motorola Edge S offers a 6.7-inch 21:9+ IPS LCD display in Full HD resolution with refresh rate support for up to 90Hz, HDR10, and dual punch-hole cameras to feature 16MP + 8MP ultra-wide front-facing cameras on the top for selfies. The company didn’t mention if it has an AMOLED display or not.

Under the hood, Qualcomm’s latest 7nm Snapdragon 870 SoC clocked at 3.2Ghz powers the device with Adreno 650 clocked at 905MHz as its GPU, accompanied with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM for seamless multitasking and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 for faster storage. The chip’s 5G modem makes downloading heavy files a lot easier in just seconds. 

It runs on Android 11 with MyUI on top.

A 64MP AI main quad-camera setup is equipped on the back, with an ultra-wide 16MP camera, 2MP for depth, and a ToF sensor. 

The Motorola Edge S sports a 5,000mAh battery for long-lasting gaming and entertainment, paired with 20W for wired charging. Other features include Smart Antenna, MAAT technology, multi-screen collaboration support, one-key touch support, AI night camera algorithm, and one-finger split screen functions.

The Motorola Edge S sports in two colors: Emerald Glaze and Snow Group, and comes in three variants, 6GB+128GB for CNY1,999, 8GB+128GB for CNY2,399, and 8GB+256GB for CNY2,799. It is now available for pre-order in China, there’s no word yet on when’s it gonna be sold outside China.
